Jordan Engineers Association Hosts a Seminar on Governance and Risk Management

The Jordan Engineers Association hosted a seminar on governance and risk management on August 3, 2024, as part of its professional activities. The session was opened by the President of the Association, Eng. Ahmad Samara Al Zoubi, who emphasized the importance of governance and the Association’s commitment to applying governance principles across its committees.
Eng. Mahmoud Salameh noted that several committees had been formed to support the application of governance and risk practices within the Association.
The seminar was delivered by Shaher Suleiman, CEO of the Risk Management Professionals Forum in Jordan. Suleiman thanked the Jordan Engineers Association for its attention to this vital topic, noting that the presence of the Association’s president and board members reflected the leadership’s commitment to governance as a safeguard for the Association’s achievements.

Suleiman also stressed the importance of independent internal audit, risk management, and compliance functions reporting functionally to the Association’s board as the highest authority, while maintaining administrative reporting to the executive management.
