Forum Holds Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assembly Meetings Chaired by Dr. Marwan Awad

The Risk Management Experts Forum held ordinary and extraordinary general assembly meetings chaired by Dr. Marwan Awad, Chairman of the Forum, during which several matters related to the Forum were discussed.
Dr. Awad stated that the Forum’s mission is to spread awareness among institutions and economic actors about risk management and sound governance frameworks based on international best practices, helping them achieve their objectives effectively and sustainably in service of the national economy.
He also highlighted the Forum’s role in increasing awareness and knowledge and contributing to economic decision-making, and thanked the executive management for its efforts in achieving the Forum’s mission and objectives.

- 2The Forum’s 2023 plan was presented as an ambitious plan to achieve its goals efficiently and effectively through cooperation with economic actors, regulators, forums, and international entities.
- 3Suleiman called for a national risk management system for state institutions and emphasized the Forum’s readiness to provide professional support as a specialized non-profit body.
- 4The assembly approved the 2021 financial statements, reappointed Arab Professional Group RSM to audit the 2022 statements, approved the 2023 plan, and approved proposed bylaw amendments.
Suleiman referred to recent painful incidents in Aqaba and at Al Salt Government Hospital as evidence that risk management culture and applications in public sector institutions require significant effort, including a national strategy and proactive plans to reduce risks and waste of public funds.
